I didn't realize Gabe Sherman wrote The Apprentice. He was my favorite beat writer for the White House during Trump's last administration. This has jumped up my queue now.
So many good movies this year. I've recommended to a bunch of substackers that they should see the French mindfuck horror, 'Pandemonium'. 'Master and Margarita is a great fantasy from Russia. 'Didi' is the best coming-of-age. 'Hundreds of Beavers' would be the zaniest indie in years if it wasn't for 'Molli and Max in the Future' being better. Loved Saorise Ronan's acting in 'The Outrun'. 'Red Rooms', from Canada, a thriller, is the most underexposed gem this year. "Wild Robot' is the best since 'Wall-E'. 'I Saw the TV Glow' is wonderfully weird and fucking smart etc.
