Having rewatched all the movies in anticipation for the Matrix Resurrections, I was shocked at how much better all the visual effects from Reloaded held up than from the original, especially on a fancy new television. The blending had gotten so much more advanced by the second one that it still holds up today, whereas I think the effects in the first one seem dated. I realized one reason for that is because all the big scenes have been parodied to death in places like the Scary Movie franchise.
